Migration FAQ
- I have ProxyCap installed. How do I migrate to NetDetour?
You need to uninstall ProxyCap before installing NetDetour. Before uninstalling, you can use the prs2npsx conversion tool to convert your configuration to NetDetour format. Then uninstall ProxyCap, install NetDetour, and optionally import the converted configuration.
- I'm a registered user of ProxyCap. Can I upgrade my license?
You are eligible for a free upgrade if your ProxyCap updates and support subscription (included for 3 years with the initial purchase) is still active. We are currently preparing a version of NetDetour that will accept eligible ProxyCap license keys directly—please check back soon.
- Does NetDetour support all functionality of ProxyCap?
NetDetour provides comparable functionality and extends it with additional features. See the comparison below:
