Cannot open game. It uses Easy Anti-Cheat.

Symptoms

Your game won't launch. You may receive a warning from Easy Anti-Cheat mentioning ndtwsock.dll, or the game may fail to start without any error messages, but it is known to use Easy Anti-Cheat.

Cause

Easy Anti-Cheat and similar anti-cheat systems block Winsock Layered Service Providers (LSP). If NetDetour is installed in LSP mode, Easy Anti-Cheat will block the game from launching.

Solution

To resolve this issue, reinstall NetDetour using the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) mode:

1. Uninstall NetDetour.
2. Reinstall it, selecting the Use WFP option in the installer.
